Summary

Two prominent Michigan attorneys offer libraries tips on navigating the workplace and library services after June 1, 2021 and beyond.

Description

June 1, 2021 began the opening up of workplaces and businesses after months of COVID-19 restrictions. July 1, 2021 promises even more of a "return to normal." What do these changes mean to libraries struggling with staff anxiety, patron anxiety - and that pesky vaccination situation? Employment attorney Mike Blum and library law attorney Anne Seurynck are pairing up to offer Michigan libraries tips and suggestions on finding their "new normal."

Participants will:

1. Be able to define current Covid-19 restrictions and how their libraries are affected.

2. Identify key issues relating to vaccination mandates and vaccination status that pertain to employees and patrons.

3. Identify tips and strategies for determining the right path to "normal" for their library.
