Description

The Open Meetings Act is one of the laws that most impacts public library trustees. However, its nuances can make it difficult for a trustee to ensure compliance. This session will review the OMA through the perspective of a library board.

Participants in this session will be able to recognize the primary requirements of the Open Meetings Act as they pertain to public board meetings.

Participants in this session will be able to recognize certain OMA pitfalls common to library boards.

Participants in this session will be able to identify policies their board should have in place to facilitate OMA compliance.
