Description

Bylaws are an integral part of library governance. Bylaws are the rules that trustees must adhere to as members of the board. Attendance, recruitment, officer elections, duties and limits of authority are all topics that comprehensive bylaws may cover. Bylaws assist a board in maintaining order and in assuring consistency through changes in membership on the board. This session will discuss the what, why and hows of bylaw creation and maintenance.
