This webinar will be a primer on the Michigan and Federal laws that affect public libraries and library service, aimed towards library staff.
Description
This webinar will be a basic summary of laws and legal issues affecting public libraries with an emphasis on issues of most interest to library staff.
At the end of this webinar, attendees will
1) Have a basic knowledge of legal issues that affect libraries.
2) Understand how certain laws shape certain policies in a public library.
3)Know what red flags to consider in certain situations involving issues of law.
