This session will focus on the four elements of Fair Use under U.S. Copyright law 17 USC, and how these elements often relate to Public Libraries.

After this session, participants will:

Have a basic understanding of Fair Use under U.S. Copyright law.

Know the Four Elements of Fair Use

Have a basic understanding of how to apply the Four Elements to an intended use in order to estimate whether an intended use could be considered fair.
